MinnFinn is Effective for:

  • Control of Protozoal parasites (e.g., Trichodina and Chilodonella) in 1 treatment
    and Costia in 2 to 3 treatments.
  • Control of Flukes in 1 to 3 treatments (uke species dependent).
  • Control of Ich in 3 to 5 treatments. Each case of Ich is unique and must be
    evaluated during treatment program for number of doses needed.
  • Control of external bacterial infections such as Bacterial Gill Disease, Columnaris,
    Mouth Rot and Fin Rot in 1 to 3 treatments.
  • Control of fungus in 1 to 3 treatments.


  1. Wear gloves and eye protection when applying MinnFinn.
  2. Before starting MinnFinn treatment, make sure you have an accurate pond volume to avoid over dose or under dose.
  3. Increase aeration to tank/pond to maximize oxygen levels and ensure proper mixing of treatment.
  4. When treating Flukes and Costia, always leave filter online for the first treatment. When treating other diseases, place filter on bypass to avoid impact on nitrifcation.
  5. See Application Rates below to calculate the required quantity of MinnFinn, then add it to a 3/4 full 5 gallon bucket of pond or tap water. Do not put more than 250 mL of MinnFinn in a single bucket.
  6. Prepare NeuFinn neutralizer according to the application rates below.
  7. Spread 1/2 the MinnFinn mixture around the entire pond edge or in the air diffuser upwelling to ensure good mixing and reduce the potential of an
    area of high concentration. After 5 minutes, add the other half of the MinnFinn mixture. Normal behavior will be lethargy, mild to moderate increase in respiration, and possible mild agitation. If fish appear severely distressed indicated by rolling over and appear to be falling asleep, immediately apply NeuFinn according to the application rates below.
  8. One hour after completing Step 7, add NeuFinn neutralizer around the entire pond edge or diffuser upwelling.
  9. Do not use with any other treatment except salt.
  10. Wait 48 hours between subsequent treatments and bypass filter.
